Dane
"Words without actions are the assassins of idealism."
Athlete. Soldier. Mystic. Mage.
All those labels describe Dane well enough. None of them can encompass the complexity of the man's already-eventful life. A local man, he began his life in Harefield, raised by his Welsh parents. He was a talented athlete as a kid, and his father urged him to apply himself, practice, and try to turn pro as a footballer. Instead, he opted for a different adventure after 9/11 -- the Royal Marine Commandos.
After several tours, the official record of Michael Dane Hellman's life ends. He is officially listed as missing in action and presumed dead, along with 114 other men who died in an ill-fated raid on a Taliban stronghold in Afghanistan. The official story is that the last defenders, true believers, detonated a cache of explosives and erased the assaulting force in a massive fireball.
Dane's story didn't end there. Nor did his life. After living a monastic existence in the mountains of Afghanistan, the man who was once Michael Dane Hellman returned home. He left a soldier. He returned a mystic, a mage, and a dedicated servant of the ideals of the Knights of Radamanthys. He knows a new fight awaits him -- a fight where he is the insurgent, the terrorist, and the freedom fighter.

This is a joint creative writing endeavour and it is a study in character improv. I'm not here to randomly TS people. I'm not here to mess with people. I'm here to portray a fairly gritty guy with a lot of personal power and some moderate-to-serious DSM-5 conditions.

- Dragana: Dane and Dragana appear to have a very close relationship, though the nature of it seems to defy easy definition. At least, from the outside looking in.
