As stated in the Player Code of Conduct, TowersMUX expects everyone, player and staff alike, to behave with respect and consideration toward one another on an OOC level. If another player is harassing, threatening, using offensive language, or otherwise behaving toward you in an unwelcome manner, we urge you to report the incident to staff.

However.

TowersMUX is a game set in the World of Darkness, and the World of Darkness is explicitly defined in the games themselves as being worse than the real world. Playing this game for any length of time means that it’s very likely that your character will bump into some of the unpleasant parts of this fictional world. If you are sensitive to or uncomfortable with violence, foul language, sexual content, physical or psychological horror, alcoholism or substance abuse, homelessness, criminal behavior, abusive relationships, or in-character discrimination — you should consider carefully whether you should play this game. It is almost certain that you will encounter some or all of the above, and that’s intended. The World of Darkness games are about coming face-to-face with some of the horrible things in the world. They’re also, importantly, about struggling against those things, but you can’t struggle with something that isn’t there.

None of the above should be taken as encouragement to create characters who are intentionally disruptive or offensive. Staff will look with a jaundiced eye on applications for characters that are likely to make the ‘cooperative’ part of ‘cooperative storytelling’ difficult. PCs should be the kind of people who push back the horror of the world around them, not the kind who revel in it.
